Celebrate the achievements of RMIT alumni who have made an outstanding contribution to their industry, the community and RMIT.

In 2016, we again recognised the achievements of our alumni on a global scale, awarding an Outstanding Alumnus Award (Australia) and Outstanding Alumnus Award (International). The recipients were Indigenous education leader Professor Jeannie Herbert AM and post-conflict community development expert Thao Nguyen Griffiths.

“I have had the most rewarding career, working to help lessen the sufferings of the poor, those with disabilities, those affected by the tragedy of war.”

As Country Director for the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation, Thao is a respected post-conflict community development expert.
